Introduction: Concrete can be made to resemble brick, slate, stone, tiles, wood, and various other designs and textures when it is patterned or textured or embossed, after completion of construction. Pigments are applied to the concrete to make concrete resemble natural materials. This is also called imprinted or textured concrete ( Stamped concrete a very innovative method is now widely used for patios, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks, and interior flooring. It is a good low cost option then using costly granites, paver blocks and other interlocking material for landscaping needs. Along with strength and durability, it provides a pleasing appearance. Procedure of Stamped Concrete: There are three steps involved in installation stamped concrete:

  1. The addition of a base colour

  2. The addition of an accent colour

  3. The stamping of a pattern into the concrete.

The completion of these procedures will ensure that the final concrete will have a colour and shape similar to the natural construction material. It is much longer-lasting than paved stone, and the appearance is still similar. Stamping Pads: For stamping, special made stamps, made from highly strong and hard rubber or plastic. In this process, just take the stamp mat, and place it on the concrete surface and just press with small force. Stamping should be done quickly after pouring, before concrete hardens. Finally, check the design lines and correct them with a sharp tool. Stamping Patterns: The pattern is the shape of the surface of the stamped concrete. The pattern represents the natural construction material's form. The design is rendered for a "concrete stamp" by imprinting the concrete soon after it has been poured. Many new concrete stamps are made of polyurethane, but different metals have been made from older "cookie cutter" type stamps. The old style stamps lacked the ability to form the texture of natural stone. Concrete stamping is the technique used to create the pattern in the stamped concrete with the concrete stamps. After the colour release has been applied, concrete stamps are placed on the concrete.
